Warren Spahn allowed Gordy Renaud to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the Washington Nationals beat the Boston-AL Red Sox by a score of 6 to
3.

The game started off with Washington taking the lead in the first with 2 runs
on 2 hits.  After two outs Roy Campanella started the rally when he lined a
one-base hit.  Luke Easter stepped up next and he smashed a two-run homer.
Washington managed 9 hits in their victory.  

The win went to Spahn(5-6) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Jim Wilson(2-5) was
tagged with the loss.  He pitched 4 innings giving up 4 hits and 3 walks.
