Dad Clarkson allowed Bill Watkins to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the sizzling St. Louis Browns topped the Pittsburg Pirates by a score of
11 to 10 at Exposition Park.

St. Louis scored the deciding run in the 9th inning.  After an out was
recorded, Kid Gleason was hit by a pitch.  Heinie Peitz followed and he
tripled scoring the run.  St. Louis managed 15 hits in their victory.  

The winning pitcher was Clarkson(3-0) who allowed 10 runs for the game. The
losing pitcher was Hank Gastright(0-3) in relief.
