Eddie Collins had 6 hits and 3 RBI as the Philadelphia Athletics topped the
Cleveland Naps by a score of 16 to 8 at League Park.

The Cleveland fans didn't appreciate the big day Collins had. He lined a
base-hit plating a run in the 1st inning, banged out a single which scored a
run in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-knock which brought home a run in the
3rd inning, ripped a one-base hit in the 6th inning, laced a single in the
7th inning and hit a single in the 9th inning. Philadelphia bats were hot in
the 3rd inning which saw them score 7 runs on 7 hits and the 6th inning which
saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits. Overall Philadelphia out-hit Cleveland 19
to 14.

Cy Morgan(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing 8 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
The losing pitcher was Fred Blanding(1-7). He was unable to control the
Philadelphia offense and allowed 19 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.
