Bill Joyce had 4 hits and 2 RBI and George Haddock allowed Arthur Irwin to
rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at Congress St Grounds where the
Boston Reds beat the St. Louis Browns 14 to 9.

Joyce made sure the Boston fans enjoyed themselves.  He stroked a one-base hit
in the 2nd inning, tripled resulting in a run in the 5th inning, laced a
base-knock in the 6th inning and tripled plating a run in the 7th inning.
Boston had a total of 15 hits for the game.  

Haddock(11-2) lasted until the end allowing 9 runs for the win. Jack
Stivetts(14-4) was given the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 15 hits and 7
walks in 8 innings.  

Boston continued their winnings ways improving their record to a league
leading 29-7.  They are 9-1 in their last ten games.  With the loss, the St.
Louis ballclub's record is 24-14.
