George Haddock pitched a complete game as the Washington Senators were badly
beaten by the Brooklyn Grooms, 15 to 3.

Brooklyn scored 6 runs in the decisive bottom of the 3rd inning when they had
7 base hits.  That early run support was all that Haddock(1-1) required.
Brooklyn lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd inning which saw them score 6 runs
on 7 hits and the 8th inning scoring 4 runs.  Brooklyn dominated offensively
as they scored in 6 different innings.  

The losing pitcher was Phil Knell(2-6).  He got hammered, allowing 18 hits and
3 walks in 7 innings.  Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 12-14.  With
the loss Washington now has a record of 8-18, worst in the league.
