John Clarkson allowed Patsy Tebeau to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and Jack O'Connor lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 4 RBI as the
streaking Cleveland Spiders clobbered the outmatched Chicago Colts, 16 to
2.

O'Connor provided the offensive punch. He smashed a two-run homer in the 4th
inning and stroked a single plating a run in the 5th inning. Cleveland bats
were very productive in the 1st inning with 4 runs and the 5th inning which
saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits. Cleveland had many opportunities throughout
the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

Clarkson(3-1), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Willie
McGill(2-6) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up
20 hits and 10 walks in 9 innings.
