TEAM RISP- Senators: 5 for 16 Cardinals: 5 for 11

Danny Green hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI at Robison Field where the
smoking-hot Washington Senators beat the St. Louis-NL Cardinals by the score
of 10 to 8.

Green was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at
their team's expense. He popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 1st
inning, ripped a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 2nd inning and doubled
in the 8th inning. Washington had 14 hits overall, while St. Louis-NL had
11.

Pop Williams(2-0) went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 7 runs for the victory. Long
Tom Hughes(1-2) was the loser. 'I struggled a bit out there today,' Williams
said, 'but I toughed it out and we got the win.'
