Elmer Flick had 4 hits and 6 RBI and Christy Mathewson was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game as the Cincinnati Reds
bested the Boston-NL Braves 9 to 4 at Palace of the Fans.

Flick had a good day at the plate.  He slapped a single which scored a run in
the 1st inning, tripled which was good for two runs in the 3rd inning, laced
a base-hit resulting in a run in the 4th inning and lined a one-base hit
plating two runs in the 6th inning.  Cincinnati rapped out 14 hits for the
afternoon.  

Mathewson(2-4) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. Glenn
Liebhardt(1-4) was the loser.  He gave up 8 runs in 6 innings of work.
