Athletics staged a comeback win over the Boston-AL Red Sox by the count of 9
to 8.
Philadelphia-AL scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning when they scored

Jimmy Dygert(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
3 runs. Walter Johnson(1-5) took the loss. He was knocked around,
