Hooks Dauss completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Detroit
Tigers defeated the Philadelphia Athletics 10 to 3 at Navin Field.
Detroit scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 4 base hits. The early
run support proved sufficient for Dauss(6-1) and Detroit. That was all the
run support Dauss required. Detroit rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.
Herb Pennock(1-3) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 5
walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
