Cleveland jumped on top of New York in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring a
single run on 2 hits. The New York batters went down meekly in the 9th.
The victory was credited to Howie Pollet(4-2) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 3 runs. Pollet got relief help from Mike Garcia who gained credit
