It was a laugher out at Wrigley Field.  The Cincinnati Reds squad ripped
Chicago-NL pitching for a total of 13 runs.  Ned Garver(3-1)with relief help
allowed Chicago-NL 5 runs.

The Chicago-NL fans didn't appreciate the big day Ted Kluszewski had.  He
clubbed a two-run home run in the 6th inning and doubled which was good for
two runs in the 7th inning.  The score went back-and-forth with the lead
changing 5 times.  

Frank Smith preserved the game for Garver, recording his his 3rd save.  Larry
Jansen(2-3) was given the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 9 hits and 6 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
