Bill Hutchison went the distance as the Chicago Colts won a dandy at South
Side Park over the Cleveland Spiders, 5 to 4.

The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning.  Hutchison laced a
single.  Malachi Kittridge came to the plate and reached on an error.  Jimmy
Ryan then reached on an error giving Chicago the win as 2,612 happy fans
joyfully celebrated.  Chicago managed 12 hits in their victory.

Hutchison(4-3) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. George Davies(1-1)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 1 run and 1 hit without
retiring a batter.
