Pink Hawley tossed a complete game as the Cincinnati Reds bested the New York
Giants 4 to 2 at League Park.
Cincinnati claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner
utilizing 2 base hits. New York tried unsuccessfully to come back in the
9th.
The win went to Hawley(5-3) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Cy Seymour(0-2)
was the losing pitcher. 'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it'
said Fred Hoey 'But we have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
