In a one-sided affiar at Huntington Ave Grnds the final score was the
Philadelphia-AL Athletics 12, the Boston-AL Americans 6.

Philadelphia-AL promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating 3
runs on 2 hits.  After two outs Freddy Parent began the rally when he
singled.  Parent was safe on a stolen base.  Jake Beckley then drew a walk.
Buck Freeman followed and he delivered a single driving in a run.  Cozy Dolan
came up to bat and drew a walk to load the bases.  Jimmy Collins did his part
to keep things going and drew a walk plating one more runner.  Ed Phelps
followed next and he reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.
Philadelphia-AL dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Buttons Briggs(5-2) allowed 4 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Roy Patterson got the save, his 4th.  Al Orth(2-2) was the losing pitcher.
He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 6 innings.
