TEAM RISP- Nationals: 4 for 13 Tigers: 7 for 21

It was a great finish at Bennett Park as the Detroit Tigers pulled off a
dramatic comeback beating the Washington Nationals by the count of 10 to
9.

Detroit came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 6
runs on 5 hits. The highlight belonged to George Davis who came through for
the home fans when he lashed a single scoring two baserunners. Detroit
totaled 13 hits on the afternoon.

Red Ames(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 4 innings. Jack
Coombs(0-3) was tagged with the loss in relief. Ames and Tommy Leach were
really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great come from behind
victory. As Jim Murphy noted, 'A win like this one can do wonders for a
team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy the fans, the players even
you guys it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
