Detroit came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 6 runs on 5 hits. The highlight belonged to George Davis who came through for the home fans when he lashed a single scoring two baserunners. Detroit totaled 13 hits on the afternoon. Red Ames(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 4 innings. Jack Coombs(0-3) was tagged with the loss in relief.
