Third baseman Jimmy Austin had 4 hits as the St. Louis-AL Browns defeated the
Detroit Tigers in 10 innings by the score of 11 to 10 at Sportsman'S
Park.

Both teams had scored 8 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, St. Louis-AL
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  Dode Paskert led off and started the
attack as he ripped a base-knock.  Clyde Milan followed and he laced a
base-knock, and an error was also committed.  Bill Sweeney then stroked a
base-hit, and an error was also committed, plating two runs.  After an out
was recorded, Sherry Magee came to bat and was walked intentionally.  Jack
Barry came up to bat and was walked intentionally to load the bases.  Olaf
Henriksen did his part to keep things going and singled resulting in an
exciting win for St. Louis-AL and a wild post-game celebration by the home
town fans.  St. Louis-AL banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.  

Rube Geyer(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 1 inning. Cy
Falkenberg(1-3) suffered the loss in relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 5 hits in
1 and 1/3 innings.
