Jack Coombs recorded a complete game shutout and Danny Murphy had 3 base hits
and 3 RBI at League Park as the Philadelphia Athletics, running on all
cylinders, ripped the Cleveland Naps by a large 13 to 0 margin.

Coombs(9-1) was very good in the win.  He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 9 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 2.52 to 2.27.
Philadelphia had a total of 18 hits for the game.  

Spec Harkness(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 17 hits
and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.  No one has been able to stop Philadelphia
lately as they lengthened their winning streak to 6 games.
