Enos Slaughter had 3 base hits and 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds bested the New
York-AL Yankees 10 to 3 at Yankee Stadium.

Slaughter had a good day at the plate.  He slapped a one-base hit resulting in
a run in the 3rd inning, singled in the 5th inning and tripled plating three
runs in the 8th inning.  Cincinnati finished with 16 hits while New York-AL
ended up with 8.  

Russ Meyer(2-2) allowed 3 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Paul Minner preserved the game for Meyer, recording his his 2nd
save.  Fred Baczewski(1-1) absorbed the loss.  He gave up 6 runs in 7 innings
and saw his ERA jump from 0.64 to 2.57.
