TEAM RISP- Nationals: 9 for 16 Cubs: 5 for 16

Roy Campanella hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI as the Washington
Nationals defeated the Chicago-NL Cubs by the score of 15 to 6 at Wrigely
Field.

Campanella was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine
day at their team's expense. He delivered a single scoring a run in the 1st
inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning and ripped a base-hit in the
8th inning. Washington bats were very productive in the 1st inning which saw
them score 5 runs on 6 hits and the 3rd inning with 6 runs on 4 hits. Due to
a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not
enough for Chicago-NL to come away with the victory.

Murry Dickson(2-1) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Whitey
Ford(2-5) was given the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 4 walks in 2 and
2/3 innings.
