WEB GEMS- Top 2nd: Dick Johnston robbed Henry Larkin of a Homerun!

Jocko Milligan knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Ice Box Chamberlain
completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Philadelphia
Athletics beat the Cincinnati Kelly's Killers by a score of 17 to
10.

Milligan had a good day at the plate. He banged out a single in the 2nd
inning, delivered a solo blast in the 6th inning and smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' in the 8th inning. Philadelphia provided plenty of action in the
8th inning which saw them plate 9 runs on 7 hits. Philadelphia dominated
offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Chamberlain(7-3), allowing 10 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The
losing pitcher was Ed Crane(3-8). He was unable to control the Philadelphia
offense and allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
