Wiley Piatt had a complete game and right fielder Elmer Flick went deep and
had 2 RBI at Exposition Park where the Philadelphia Phillies beat the
Pittsburg Pirates 10 to 4.

Pittsburg never recovered after Philadelphia took the lead in the top of the
2nd inning scoring 2 runners on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by
Ed McFarland who deflated the crowd as he lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run. Philadelphia dominated offensively as they scored in 6
different innings.

Piatt(8-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Harley
Payne(0-3) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 10
runs in 8 innings.
