George Jackson smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Baker Bowl as the Boston
Braves beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the count of 13 to 5.

Jackson enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 4th inning and blasted a two-run home run in the 9th inning.  Boston
provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning with 3 runs on 3 hits, the 3rd
inning which saw them score 3 runs on 4 hits and the 5th inning when they had
3 runs on 3 hits.  Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, Philadelphia could
not get the win.  

The win was credited to Hub Perdue(3-5) who went 8 innings allowing 5 runs.
Pete Alexander(3-5) took the loss.  He was knocked around by Boston, allowing
20 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.
