WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Doc Crandall robbed Harry Swacina of a base hit.

Shortstop Mickey Doolin had 3 base hits and Jack Quinn allowed Otto Knabe to
rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Baltimore Terrapins
outscored the St. Louis Terriers 7 to 3.

Baltimore jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.
The big moment was provided by Guy Zinn who thrilled the crowd when he
delivered a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Baltimore finished with 8 hits
in the victory.

Quinn(4-3) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Henry
Keupper(1-5) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 7 runs and 8 hits in 8
innings.

For Baltimore the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had been struggling
in their last ten games with a disappointing 1-9 record. With this loss, St.
Louis has a 4-6 record of late, 8-24, worst in the league overall.
