The Pittsburgh Pirates bested the Chicago-NL Cubs by a 5 to 2 score at Wrigley
Field.

Pittsburgh came up with 3 runs in the top of the 6th inning with the help of 3
hits.  The big moment was provided by Al Dark who deflated the spirits of the
home town crowd when he ripped a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners.
Overall Pittsburgh out-hit Chicago-NL 8 to 5.  

The win went to Vinegar Bend Mizell(3-3) who allowed 2 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings. Joe Black earned his 3rd save.  Vic Raschi(5-2) was charged with the
loss.  He gave up 5 runs and 8 hits in 7 innings.  

The Pittsburgh ballclub's record now stands at 18-22.  With this loss,
Chicago-NL has a 5-5 record of late, 16-20 overall.
