First baseman Charlie Comiskey had 2 base hits and 3 RBI and Dave Foutz
completed the game without help from the bullpen as the St. Louis Browns beat
the floundering New York Metropolitans by a score of 10 to 5.

In the 5th inning St. Louis scored 4 runs when they came up with 4 base hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Foutz who made the crowd happy when he
singled which was good for two runs.  St. Louis rapped out 13 hits for the
afternoon.  

Foutz(7-4) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. The losing
pitcher was John Shaffer(0-9).  He got hit hard, allowing 13 hits and 2 walks
in 8 innings.
