Wolverines defeated the Chicago White Stockings by a score of 7 to 4 at West
Side Park.
Detroit started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they scored 2 runs on 1 hit. Detroit managed only 6 hits on the
afternoon.
The win went to Gruber(1-1) who allowed 4 runs in the game. George Van
