Harry Stovey collected 4 RBI with one swing of the bat as the Boston
Beaneaters defeated the Pittsburg Pirates in 10 innings 8 to 6 at Exposition
Park.

The score was tied at 6 after nine.  Boston came out on top in the 10th
inning.  Herman Long led off the inning for Boston when he drew a walk.
Billy Nash followed next and he reached on an error.  Joe Quinn then singled
knocking in a run.  After an out was recorded, Stovey stepped in and he
reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.  Despite losing,
Pittsburg out-hit Boston 18 to 6.  

John Clarkson(8-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Mark
Baldwin(2-3) ended up with the loss.  He gave up 6 hits and 5 walks in 10
innings.
