Ed Doheny was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the blistering-hot New York Giants topped the Chicago Colts by a
score of 8 to 6 at West Side Park.

Doheny(5-2) delivered a fine performance for New York. He allowed 9 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings. Chicago was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th.

Clark Griffith(5-4) was the losing pitcher. 'I just wanted to give my team a
chance to win.' said Doheny, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won
the game, and that's all that matters.'
