In a game at Wrigley Field the Pittsburgh Pirates got by the Chicago-NL Cubs
by the score of 7 to 4.

Eddie Lopat(3-1) did the job in relief, and he got credit for the win.  He
went 3 innings and surrended up 5 hits and no walks dropping his ERA from
2.42 to 2.13.  Pittsburgh and Chicago-NL each finished the afternoon with 10
hits.  

Willie Ramsdell(1-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  Wth the win Pittsburgh now
has a record of 19-22.  With this loss, Chicago-NL has a 5-5 record of late,
16-21 overall.
