Charlie Ferguson had an impressive outing as the Philadelphia Quakers beat the
Kansas City Cowboys by a score of 5 to 0.

Philadelphia promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating one
baserunner on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, George Wood smacked a
single. Ferguson next to the plate and he doubled scoring the run. That was
all Ferguson(3-3) needed. Philadelphia finished with just 6 hits in the
victory.

Pete Conway(1-3) was the losing pitcher. Dave Rowe lamented, 'Ferguson was
really aggressive today. He kept coming after our hitters. Heck, why not.
he kept sitting our guys down one after another - like so many bowling pins!'
