Cub Stricker had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and George Haddock went the distance at
East End Park where the Boston Reds beat the Cincinnati Kelly's Killers by
the score of 4 to 2.

Boston brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 6th inning with the
help of 3 hits.  After an out was recorded, Morgan Murphy initiated the
scoring spurt when he smacked a single.  Willard Mains then let one get away
for a wild pitch.  Paul Radford then ripped a one-base hit.  John Irwin was
next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim.  Stricker stepped into the box
and delivered a base-hit scoring a run.  Mains then let loose a wild pitch
scoring one more run.  Haddock came to the plate and drew a walk.  Stricker
stole third and scored when the ball ended up in the outfield scoring the
final run of the inning.  Boston had a total of 12 hits for the game.  

The victory went to Haddock(12-2) who went the distance allowing 2 runs.
Mains(2-4) was the losing pitcher.  He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 6
walks in 9 innings.
