Catcher Jack Warner had 2 base hits as the New York Giants defeated the
Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7 to 6 at League Park.

New York jumped on top to stay in the 6th inning when they scored 2 runs on 1
hit.  Cincinnati threatened in the 9th but New York was able to put down the
rally.  

Ed Doheny(4-4) was the winner allowing 6 runs in 8 innings. Charlie Gettig
earned his 4th save.  Bill Dammann(1-1) was tagged with the loss.

awhile.'
