George Mullin was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Germany Schaefer had 5 hits and 2 RBI as the Detroit Tigers
destroyed the Philadelphia Athletics by a score of 12 to 2 at Columbia
Park.

Schaefer led the offense for Detroit.  He delivered a single in the 1st
inning, tripled which brought home a run in the 2nd inning, ripped a one-base
hit in the 5th inning, doubled in the 7th inning and slapped a base-hit in
the 8th inning.  Detroit managed 18 hits in their victory.  

The victory went to Mullin(3-4) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Harry
Krause(2-2) was the loser.  He was hit hard and gave up 14 hits and 2 walks
in 7 and 1/3 innings.
