Andy Seminick had 2 base hits and 4 RBI at Shibe Park as the Philadelphia-NL
Phillies beat the floundering Chicago-NL Cubs 16 to 11.

Philadelphia-NL brought 4 runs across the plate in the 5th inning with the
help of 5 hits.  The key at-bat was by Seminick who made the crowd come alive
when he stroked a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners.
Philadelphia-NL bats were hot in the 4th inning with 4 runs on 3 hits and the
5th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits.  This was the kind of game
that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.  

Bob Rush(2-4) went 7 innings allowing 8 runs for the win. Bud Podbielan was
credited with his 3rd save.  Larry Jansen(3-5) took the loss.  He gave up 9

Walker Cooper ripped 2 homeruns and had 7 RBI in a losing cause for
