Left fielder Algie McBride knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Doc Parker
went the distance as the Chicago Colts topped the Philadelphia Phillies by a
score of 11 to 9 at Baker Bowl.

The Philadelphia fans didn't appreciate the big day McBride had. He clubbed a
two-run home run in the 5th inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the
9th inning. Even though they scored in 6 different innings, Philadelphia was
not able to pull off the win.

The win went to Parker(3-3) who allowed 9 runs in the game. Jack Taylor(5-5)
was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 17 hits and 4
walks in 9 innings.

'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Parker said,
'this was one of those times.'
