Joe Kelley had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at West Side Park as the Brooklyn
Superbas beat the Chicago Orphans by the count of 9 to 5.

Brooklyn drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
with 2 runs.  Fielder Jones led off and got things going when he reached on
an error.  Willie Keeler stepped up to the plate and he was hit by a pitch.
Two outs later Bill Dahlen stepped in and he drew a walk to load the bases.
Lave Cross was up next and he stroked a base-hit knocking home two runners.
Brooklyn had 13 hits for the game and Chicago had 10.  

Brickyard Kennedy(3-6) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Ned
Garvin(4-4) suffered the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 13 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings.
