Charlie Hickman left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Washington Senators
defeated the Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings by the score of 9 to 8 at American
League Park.

The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings. Washington came out the victor
in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Otto Krueger kicked off the
action when he laced a one-base hit. Ed Delahanty stepped into the batter's
box and he banged out a single. After another out, Roger Bresnahan then
doubled, and an error was also committed, giving Washington the victory as
1,466 happy fans celebrated wildly. Washington had 14 hits for the
afternoon.

The win went to Ned Garvin(2-5) who allowed 2 runs in 2 innings. Highball
Wilson(1-1) was the loser in relief. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Bart Ewing
sighed. 'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far
too much time in the desert lately.'
