Bob Harmon completed the game without help from the bullpen at Forbes Field
where the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 5
to 2.

Pittsburgh brought 3 runs across the plate in the 4th inning. The critical
plate appearance was by Joe Leonard who brought a roar from the partisan
Forbes Field fans when he stroked a base-hit which was good for two runs.
Pittsburgh won despite being out-hit by Philadelphia 12 hits to 9.

The victory went to Harmon(3-0) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Erskine
Mayer(3-6) took the loss. He allowed 5 runs and 9 hits in 8 innings.
