Doc Newton tossed a complete game and Willie Keeler had 4 hits and 4 RBI as
the Brooklyn Superbas beat the ice-cold Philadelphia Phillies by a score of
11 to 2.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Keeler.  He stroked a single in the 1st inning, delivered a
base-hit in the 3rd inning, lined a one-base hit scoring two baserunners in
the 4th inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning.
Brooklyn finished with 16 hits in the victory.  

Newton(6-1) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Harry Felix(0-3)
suffered the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 16 hits and 3 walks in 7
innings.
