Frank Kitson tossed a complete game and Larry Schlafly had 4 hits and 3 RBI at
Hilltop Park where the Washington Nationals beat the New York Highlanders in
10 innings 9 to 7.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. Washington was
victorious in the 10th inning.  Lave Cross opened up the inning nicely when
he doubled.  John Anderson came next and he drew a walk.  Dave Altizer dug
into the batters box next, but he struck out.  Charlie Hickman followed next
and he tripled plating two runs.  Jake Stahl came up to bat and drew a walk.
Cy Barger then let a pitch get away from him scoring the final run of the
inning.  Washington totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.  

Kitson(1-4) got the victory, allowing 7 runs for the game. Barger(0-1) was
charged with the loss in relief.  The Washington ballclub's record now stands
at 9-25.  With the loss New York now has a record of 21-12.
