Kid Gleason was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Louisville Colonels by
the score of 9 to 7 at Union Park.

Baltimore had 4 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning with the help of 4
hits. The highlight belonged to Willie Keeler who elicited a roar from the
hometown fans when he tripled bringing home two baserunners. Baltimore
rapped out 15 hits for the afternoon.

Gleason(3-1) was the winner allowing 7 runs for the game. Phil Knell(0-6)
ended up with the loss. He was knocked around by Baltimore, allowing 15 hits
and 3 walks in 8 innings.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Gleason, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
