Second baseman Ed Abbaticchio had 3 base hits and 6 RBI as the streaking
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs by a score of 11 to 2.

The Pittsburgh fans enjoyed the offense provided by Abbaticchio.  He delivered
a one-base hit scoring two baserunners in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-knock
plating two runs in the 4th inning and doubled which was good for two runs in
the 8th inning.  For the game Pittsburgh out-hit Chicago 11 to 7.  

Vic Willis(7-1) allowed 2 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Chick Fraser(3-3) absorbed the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 11
hits and 7 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
