Frank Smith had a complete game and Jiggs Donahue had 3 base hits and 6 RBI as
the Chicago White Sox defeated the Detroit Tigers by a score of 12 to 4 at
Bennett Park.

Donahue enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled bringing home two
baserunners in the 1st inning, stroked a single bringing in two baserunners
in the 7th inning and ripped a one-base hit plating two runs in the 8th
inning.  Chicago had 12 hits for the afternoon.  

Smith(5-4) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Ed
Siever(2-5) absorbed the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in
6 and 2/3 innings.
