Boston won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Steve Yerkes initiated the scoring spurt when he drew a walk. Tris Speaker was next and he stroked a single. Duffy Lewis then belted a three-run homer resulting in an exciting win for Boston and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans.
