Sportsman's Park. The final score was 3 to 1.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Cleveland came out the
victor in the 11th inning. After two were out Tommy Henrich began the
Cleveland spurt when he drew a walk. Johnny Groth stepped up next and he
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. The teams had been locked
in a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.
Bob Lemon(5-2) allowed no runs in 3 innings, and picked up the victory. Fred
Martin was credited with his 10th save. Ray Scarborough(0-3) was the losing
