Dan Casey went the distance as the Philadelphia Quakers defeated the Chicago
White Stockings by the score of 8 to 6 at Recreation Park.

Casey(4-2) pitched a solid game.  He went 9 innings surrendering 9 hits and 5
walks.  Chicago threatened in the 9th but Philadelphia was able to put down
the rally.  

Jocko Flynn(3-2) took the loss.  Cap Anson was in a sour mood after the game.
