Scott Stratton tossed a complete game and Harry Taylor had 3 base hits and 3
RBI at Baseball Grounds as the Louisville Colonels, running on all cylinders,
ripped the Philadelphia Phillies by a large 15 to 3 margin.

In the 4th inning Louisville went on top for good when they tallied 2 runs on
1 hit.  Louisville bats were very productive in the 5th inning with 8 runs on
3 hits.  Louisville had 13 hits for the afternoon.  

The victory was credited to Stratton(7-1) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. The losing pitcher was Duke Esper(3-4).  He had trouble throwing
strikes and issued 7 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
