Tommy Dowd had 3 base hits and Pink Hawley was able to finish what he started
and was credited with a complete game as the St. Louis Browns bested the
Baltimore Orioles 6 to 4 at Union Park.

In the top of the 2nd inning St. Louis went on top for good plating one
baserunner on 2 base hits.  After two were out Heinie Peitz doubled.  Joe
Quinn followed next and he slapped a one-base hit scoring the run.  St. Louis
managed 13 hits in their victory.  

The victory was credited to Hawley(4-3) who went the distance, allowing 4
runs. Crazy Schmit(1-6) ended up with the loss.  He was touched for 13 hits
and 4 walks in 9 innings.
