Charlie Ganzel had 5 hits and 5 RBI and Jack Stivetts went the distance at
South End Grounds as the Boston Beaneaters belted the St. Louis Browns by the
count of 23 to 3.

Ganzel had a great day at the plate.  He had the crowd cheering his every
move.  He tripled clearing the bases in the 2nd inning, smacked a single in
the 3rd inning, tripled which brought home a run in the 4th inning, doubled
bringing in a run in the 5th inning and doubled in the 7th inning.  Boston
kept the scorekeepers busy in the 2nd inning with 5 runs on 5 hits, the 4th
inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 5 hits and the 7th inning which saw
them score 5 runs on 4 hits.  Boston had a total of 25 hits for the game.

Stivetts(2-0) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Bill
Kissinger(1-1) was given the loss.  He was unable to control the Boston
offense and allowed 23 hits and 6 walks in 6 innings.
